The Republic of Korea submits draft terms and reference on legal advisory consultancy for the NPFC Secretariat in light of the discussions and recommendation from FAC06.

As well as the proposal for TOR regarding acquiring international and domestic labour related (sharoushi) legal advice, the Secretariat provides an update on the domestic legal advice that it is receiving.
Domestic Legal Advice
A Japanese law firm has been retained to provide advice on domestic legal considerations. They serve on a retainer and are paid “as-needed”. Based on current considerations, this is anticipated to be of limited cost but has been used in the past to assess a domestic issue.
